“Gourmet Barbara”, Barbara Gold, makes her home in Middletown, NJ and prides herself on the fact that she is a self-taught chef.

Her passion for food began with her days as a cookbook designer in New York City. After reading thousands of recipes and trying those she thought sounded good, she discovered the joy of cooking and sharing her enjoyment with friends and fellow sailors.

In addition to cooking, Barbara is an accomplished sailor and has crewed in sailboat races around the world. She combines her talents for entertainment with her skills at sailing wherever and whenever the opportunity arises.
